I hear alot of people saying that Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, won't be there for them, when they get old. If you keep that attitude, I'd wouldn't be surprised if you even have a United States of America, in your future. Every Generation has to fight for its right to exist, in a world, not of its own making. You thought Iraq and Afghanistan were the end of your struggle. No. Now, you have to win 'The American Dream'. Welcome to 'The War.' You have to figure out who's on your side and who isn't, who has your best interest at heart and who doesn't.
First let me tell you this: This country spends more money on war, than the combine defense budgets of the practically the entire world. That has to change. Our politicians need to stop trying to be another Roman Empire and spend our money, here at home.
We have plenty of cash for these programs, if we stop fighting wars, every time some jerk, farts in a head wind. Learn from your elders. We boomers have done this before, during Vietnam, union strife, civil rights and workers' rights.Things haven't changed. The republican party hasn't changed. They are the same party now, as they were then! They're still trying to suppress voter rights, kill social security, medicare and medicaid, destroy unions and workers rights and break the middle class. They're still, the party of George Wallace and Barry Goldwater. Still the party that tries to get everyone arguing among themselves, just long enough to get elected anddestroy everything the middle class has built.
We pulled ourselves up, even after three of our heroes had been shot and killed, John F. Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.
Son, they pushed down on us hard,They beat us in Detroit in '67,They gassed us in New York,They arrested us in Selmaand they killed us at Ohio State.We might have been down, but we were not out. We fought, we bled and we died on the streets of America, for our piece of the pie. And when we were done...we had won, a decent wage, a home in the suburbs and two cars in the garage. But 'The Struggle' never ends. It's your turn now. The powers that be, will do everything possible, to confused, to agitate and keep all of you, fighting amongst yourselves. It is their way. In your insecurity, lies their power. But if you and your equals unite, there is no power on earth that can stand before you, not withstanding The Lord, Your God. And when you have won, you must promise to pass this knowledge to your sons and daughters and them to theirs.
So, let The Battle of The Next Generation begin. The Forces of Good and Evil are gathered. The battle is about to be engaged. So, come with us, our children, and we will show you how, before we go.
We need to win this election in 2012 and make sure we turnThe House, The Senate and The Presidency over toThe Party of The Middle Class, The Democratic Party.So, Boomers, dust off your Keds, plug a tape in the 8 track,and let's show these young uns, how it's done.
